What is SoleMates?

The Girls on the Run SoleMates program provides people an opportunity to raise funds to impact girls while training for a race and pursuing individual goals! SoleMates is the adult charity running leg of Girls on the Run. SoleMates are male and female athletes of all ages and abilities who pursue individual goals, such as running a marathon or participating in a triathlon, to raise money for Girls on the Run NYC.

Through fundraising, raising awareness, and getting friends and family involved, SoleMates allow Girls on the Run NYC to expand the important character development programs we deliver to girls across the city, expand our scholarship sites, and reach more girls.

There is great satisfaction that comes from combining your athletic abilities and personal goals to raise funds for a program that you believe in. Becoming a SoleMate is an easy and powerful way to help spread a message of health and wellness and provide support for girls to participate in our life-changing program, empowering them to be confident, healthy, and joyful.

Whether you are running your first 5k or competing in your tenth Ironman, we are seeking novice runners, experienced runners, triathletes, walkers, coaches, moms, and dads to join our SoleMates program. The only criteria to becoming a SoleMate is a desire to work on your own athletic goals and to help fund the Girls on the Run program for financially challenged girls. Our SoleMate runners inspire our Girls on the Run participants to live into their own dreams.
